So from the pictures, does everyone think that my Lionhead doe might have vents disease?
If so, I guess I have to treat the whole clan and inform the lady I got her from.

Also, does anyone know a good place to buy 3 level stacked cages? I am looking for a more compact cage to put in my room for kindling.

Oh! That is so cool, and makes a lot of sense. You see I was working on my bunnies genotypes...you know, I got this and this so this rabbit must carry this and this, and realized that to have a black kit I would have to have a Dominate full color C for that to happen which was a gene neither parents could have contributed. It was driving me crazy because even though it wasn't impossible that she bred to the dutch I remembered specifically breeding her to the Rew.

If he is definitely a self chin. it clears up everything.

Of course, for an Am Chin to be carrying a Self gene, we're probably talking about an outcross in the not-so-distant past, but that sort of thing is not uncommon. Since one parent is a NZW, there is another possible way to get a solid black that involves the Steel gene, but let's not go there unless we have to!

I'm going to the vet now. She ate a little last night (greens), and drank a little, but I'd rather get her medical attention in case it gets worse.

Since one parent is a NZW, there is another possible way to get a solid black that involves the Steel gene, but let's not go there unless we have to!

Hahaha, Don't worry, I'm pretty confident he is a self chin. His momma isn't pedigreed stock so there are probably several out crosses in her lineage, but I know it can't be too many, every time I look up Am. Chin I see a million of her perfect clones. O.O LOL

So, I finally got back. The good news is, according to an X-Ray, there is no hairball. However, she does have Gastrointestinal Stasis. Hairballs are the byproduct of this problem. It just means her digestive system has slowed down. The X-Ray also showed that there is digestive matter in the intestine, but it is not moving. She was given a Reglan injection, to get the intestines moving, and I was sent home with Reglan pills, and antiflammitory pills to stop the soft stool. Hopefully she will show improvement by Monday. She is starting to eat a little bit right now, so I will keep watch.

Have you ever heard of Pointer Hill Pet Products? I know they travel to many of the NJ and PA ARBA shows. They are from PA I believe. Try looking them up online. They do have a website. I know they sell a variety of cages like and identical to this one, and I'm sure they would ship. They are high quality and i have bought a lot of supplies from them such as travel cages, water and food bowls, hay racks, water bottle springs, brushes, grooming equipment, etc. they have a huge variety if supplies not only for rabbits, but any pet even reptiles. You are located in CA right?
