I got a pic of the new triplex bunny cage DH and I built!

This is very nice! We just built a similar design to hang the cages in outside during the spring, summer, and fall. I'm not certain I'll leave them out there in the winter, since it gets quite cold here in Maine. We are planning on them going in the top of the barn for winters.

growing up in WI we left a lot of our rabbits out all winter. we did bring any does we hoped to breed inside, then filled whatever inside cages we had left, but that was more for me and my sister during chores. we had Jersey Woolies, so they had it easiest, but we also had holland lops and polish and they were fine too. we had a bigger issue with the heat of summers. frozen bottles were wonderful, and we actually set up fans out in their area to keep the heat down a little.

Is that a solid floor in there or is it wire? I tried to do wire flooring in my hutch, but we couldn't get the wire to flatten out enough to pull it tight.
Very nice hutch, by the way, love the color.

Thanks! It has a wire floor. I build the floor first, so it is easier to keep the wire flat. I found some nice wire at TSC that is heavier than hardware cloth, has 1/2 x 1" squares and works great for the bottoms. This is the second one we built. I love to use oops paint from Home Depot, colorful and cheap. Here is a pic of some Lionheads I bought;
