I can get outdoor pics tomorrow and its a work in progress! but the start of our outdoor rabbitry is here on video. Don't mind my babble lol
We hang cages, added 2 auto 5 gal waterers (2 more to go we have cages almost built too, a center row is going in as well as a set of wrap around cages on the outside perimeter as a growout area for meat and breeder culls/pets.

I rake the hay up gently twice a week and put it out to smother cut vines or wrap a layer around the base of the garden veggies (keeps soil cool and moist. ) and bag up rabbit poo in old feed bags and ziptie shut. Keeps it neat and the poop sells like crazy.

Nice setup!!

Thanks still a ways to go but loving it already :) We are in Louisiana, need lots of shade and ice! Hubby has two fans he's mounting next week in the rafters to push air through isles and help keep them cool through our summer.

Try to get photos today soon as daughter is awake. The doe chewed through the side of her temp cage yesterday while my daughter was upstairs thank god or the dogs would have gone nuts and got to her before we would. Both pups so it would not have been pretty. Only thing I got safer is a bird cage and well it hard stuffing her through those little doors. Soon as hubby sends money we will buy another hutch and cover it good. Our buck got chewing on his pretty good so now he free ranges the balcony and the chicks sleep in his cage. He built that nest behind it.
Once we get a place I will look for ideas to build a breeding area. Rabbit sells well here, they dont care breed just meat. Hope I can find a female chin keep the dutch for a housepet.

i've been curious for a while.. what time is it where you live?

Depending on what time zone your in im 6-9 hours ahead of the usa. Hard cause by the time we can get online during day people are going to bed or sleeping. If I want to talk to anyone best time is after 7 here which is when we eat and I go to bed around 9 while my kids sit up til almost sunrise talking to their friends back home. Libya is plus 2 greenwich time. At time of this posting it 830 am. By 9 I get some breakfast, dogs, chickens, rabbits fed and I sit reading if I dont need to go to market. Its warming up here and we already had 100 degree days. This is sandstorm season, rainy last about a month so thats past and the fields are already dried up unless the got water. Market gets more variety but you can pretty much grow year round if you plan it right. Some got greenhouses or ship in from neighboring countries but cost goes up then. You could grow for self but not for profit before now its free and there are many testing the water on crops. Things are planted in bulk and let grow too big or tiny as compared to how we grow in usa. Fruits also vary in size here too as well as limited varieties. Lettuce here is horrible, full of sand and hard to clean. Carrots are tiny, spinach is overgrown, cucumbers tiny. Will try to do more photography this year. Its a treat to walk the markets here allthe hawkers yelling in various tongues. Know a lot of media folks but this type of story doesnt make front page news. People like me see life as it really is. And it is like stepping back in time.

Hi everyone.
I have a buck sneezing pretty bad this morning.
He's still eating and running around and everything.
Should I be overly concerned? I didn't know if it was something simple like a cold or allergies with the pollen? Or if there is a horrific rabbit equivelant to something like MG in chickens that is highly contagious and wipeout all my rabbits!
I've been googling it this morning, but thought you guys would know a lot

Thanks!
