Breeders write their own pedigrees, so if her parents are pedigreed, your doe is pedigreed (it's just that nobody has written it up). You can still buy a book of blank forms from the ARBA, or you can use one of the pedigree programs that are available. There is a space for her information: name, ear number, color, breed, sex, date of birth - you enter all of that in the appropriate blanks (usually on the left hand side or the top, depending on how the page is set up). You enter the buck's name and other details in the section marked "sire," the doe's info goes under "dam." Their parents' info gets entered as grandsire and granddam, etc. Obviously, there will be a column of rabbits all the way to the right of the page that don't get entered because there isn't room on the form. It can be a lot of writing (or typing) but it's not complicated.Okay so to all you peoples out there who are more intelligent than me!! Can I please get some helpful pointers in pedigreeing my rabbits? My buck is already pedigreed and the doe i am looking into buying and breeding is not pedigreed but I can get a copy of both parent's pedigrees. Can I pedigree her using those? I am also planning on joining the ARBA soon too if that helps. thank you!
Can u send me a link to that cite. I need to get papers for my baby's.
It all depends on the breed, and their size. For small breeds like Netherland Dwarfs, it's about 5-7 months. Medium and large breeds would be around 7-10 months, just depending on how big they areAnd the best age to breed the doe's? i was thinking 8 months...?
