Freeze water bottles and put them in your rabbits hutch and they can lay against or on it and stay cool, and I make them a veggy block. Just put salad mix in a bowl with water than place it in the freezer than the rabbit can't have it at once just nibble it as it melts

Ooh, I like the idea of the veggie blocks!!

Anyone else?

Nice idea the water bottle ice. Here ICE is just about unheard of. You will get cold fridge at best. Big taboo says cold drinks will kill you. I did the resesrch on it after hearing this the last time we came and figured it out. Itdealt with sports. Guys grabbing a big bottle of cold water and ddrinking to much after a game. Dilutes the salts in our bodies and found reports of guys dropping dead. I think a incident happened with a marathon not that long ago a woman if I remember. Ice is only used to protect food here and even then you rarely see it. That is why sport drinks are used in most places. And would only happen with water since everything else contains sodium. But its an old wives tale. My rabbit was layed out on the balcony yesterday, it was 97 and its still spring.

It was finally warm enough to take bugz outside for a walk!
400

Looks like he needs a lot more walks. lol

I am so glad you are on this thread. You show us a glimpse into another place and it's customs. I hope you never go away. How did you learn such good English and easy comparison of the two cultures and monetary systems?

X2!!, it is one thing to read about other countries and their customs in a book, but to have someone actually from that country to tell you about it is a whole different and amazing thing!!

Hope I dont bust any bubbles, but im born american. My dads german/italian and momma was irish and through blood tests her female lines at some point came from north africa. Momma was born in Georgia, daddy NYC and I was born in Florida. I married a man from Libya 27 yrs ago and promised when he could safely go home I would follow. Im the genealogist in the family and figure I got some roots most southern folks dont talk about lol. But our lines were abolitionists and guess the females on grannies side were taken for natives or tanned women and most irish men didnt care. I was always facinated with life in this region, from old bible stories to history lessons. I moved here two yrs ago and for various reasons im here and hubby is still in the usa. I had very little language since Libya was ruled by France and Italy and English was banned in the 70s not many folks speak english unless they were diplomats or doctors or businessmen. I got lucky my fil worked with the US when we had a base here in the 50s Wheelus Airbase is 8 miles from my house and planes landing there fly with gears down over our house. I came to live and help support folks in rebuilding from the war. Its not like what people see on tv and I tell them the USA isnt what you see on tv either. Being a male dominate society it takes smarts to fit in and not ruffle feathers haha.
Im trying to bring techniques to them that we use and small things like proper care and housing of animals is a challenge. People see what im doing and how healthy our animals are and we get lots of comments. With proper care I can sell my animals at premium prices. Plus im trying to show simple breeding techniques that every household can manage. Farming even was not allowed beyond caring for sheep and most was government controlled. Just the simple thing of putting animals on my rooftop has reduced almost all predator issues. Rats, wild dogs and feral cats kill off most folks food supply and where some folks income is less than 400 a month, 7 bucks for s rabbit is big expense.
But mostly I feel like im home, this is where I belong.
