My mini Rex who is by herself gave birth yesterday to 5 babies 3 broken blacks, 1 black, and one white. Now I am questioning how did she get pregnant and then my son admits that he was outside and thought she looked lonely so he put the male Mini Rex in for a bit. She is 15 months old and this is her first litter but I would have liked to have known ahead of time that she was pregnant. Here is the picture I got today of them did get too good of a picture as momma was getting all Nervous

Now that is a hilariously tipical story about a little boy XD but I agree a warning would have been nice. I'm so sorry!

OMG, I love that story. That will be one told around the table in years to come. Our children are grown now. I love to remind them of some of their antics when they talk about our grandson's behaviors.

My oldest has 3 and I also remind her all the time of the antics she pulled when she complains about the grandbabies.

Cleatus Van Dam is a daddy! It's his first round of babies! Doe had 8 (that I can count lol sometimes there ends up being more)

Weaned the ten babies another doe had. They're at 5 weeks and doing great. She gave us 6 does and 4 bucks and tolerated all ten up until last week when she started weaning them herself . Awesome mommy tho! She knows when they're ready before I do lol

instead of my getting that one adult angora buck I'm gonna be getting a pair of babies

Crap. Had to have an issue at some point!

I have 3 does on a long 3 hole cage. All "due" to kindle. One in the 1st cage had 8 yesterday (i swore I counted 8 in the morning, then only 7 that night-thought I was just over zealous the 1st count no rejected kit found)
Then this morning I walk in and see a single kit all alone on bottom of the THIRD cage in the row!
Waaaay far away from the 1st does cage.
No signs of birthing yet from the 2nd and 3rd doe.

Could this day old kit have crawled ALL they way to the end of a 12 ft long cage? ? Seems crazy but thinking it was number 8 I thought I counted 1st time.

Barely fits through sides as it is or is it more likely doe #2 or #3 gave birth to a single kit? No signs or blood. I warmed the baby well til it was popcorning & squeaking again, wrapped it in fur and put it in my nicest does nest with hers, hopefully she'll keep it.
Outcome doesn't look good but I've seen worse
