Interesting, but my rabbit is not wild, so that doesn't concern me too much. Unfrotunately, we think she is sick with something terminal (nothing is showing up on x-rays and it's not contagious). It's been two days now, and my finger seems fine, but I just wanted to be sure.
I'm so sorry to hear about your rabbit.

Thanks. We're going to keep her around for a week or so. She's not in terrible condition yet, but with the summer approaching, she won't do well in the heat (she's not drinking, eating, or going to the bathroom much. Shes also has had a fever that wont break).

Make sure she keeps eating, drinking and pooping. Hope your girl gets better

What is her temperature? A rectal temperature of 103.3 - 104º F is normal.

If it's very hot you can make a coolpack for her by putting a bottle with water (not completely filled) in the freezer.

I copied the temperatures from the textbook of rabbit medicine, it says 38.5-40ºC (103.3-104º F) is normal rectal temperature for rabbits. So the Celcius and Fahrenheit don't match up, it would be 101.3-104º F.

But with many sites and your vet mentioning 101-103, I'm not sure what is correct. It's not something I check with my rabbits...

Don't really know what else to say, did you discuss pain medication with your vet? I really hope she makes it
