My 10 day old chick was acting funny so I came to backyardchickens to find out what was wrong (turns out it's normal, i'm such a newbie). I ran across lots of posts where seasoned owners give advice and it usually involves some sort of product I don't own yet because i'm new to this. It seems prudent to have some items on hand in case it's needed. I can see where you might not have time to wait for the feed store to open (or order from the internet).

Can you give suggestions? Some things i've read are poly-vi-sol, save a chick, electrolytes, and medicated chicken starter.

Iv'e also been told vitamins and de-wormer and i picked up powder for lice and mits. ewwwww Now that my kids are grown,(humans i mean), i have to think about lice and mights. Thats all i know about cause i'm new too. Angie.
