What responses have people gave you when seeing their first turken?

I don't own turkens but do think they are cute and unique. I'm just wondering what type of weird responses everyone has gotten from people who have never seen a turken before. My father-in-law doesn't like them cause they look like they have a sickness causing the feathers to be gone.

When my dad first saw Joesephine our month old turken, he said "Man, that's an ugly chicken."

Poor Joesephine, I covered her ears!

A neighbor asked if a dog had gotten to Vladimir, and when her feathers were expected to grow back. My MIL said, "I prefer cute chickens."

Like Vlad isn't the cutest hen I have. She certainly is my favorite.

Then, gave me the stink eye because they thought I had let something attack my chicken.

My family say my Mr.turken dinner's gross.
my female is cute,she has a great personality.
Then they asked me if i have to put vasaline on his neck so he doesn't get frost bite....
He is mean but he's my ugly buddy.
Now i have a new addition half turken /orpinghton mix.
looks like a turken but is yellow.
