What rooster breed should l get for hatching eggs?

Looks like you have an orpington for your buff, but I could be wrong since I won't raise them.

I'm biased, I would suggest a naked neck or Pheonix. Both are quite hardy and unique lookswise. Also seem to be rather polite roosters

Honestly, it depends on the traits you're looking for. Lots of breeds produce non-aggressive roosters. Do you want your resulting offspring to be dual purpose? Specifically focus on egg-laying? Cold hardy? Heat tolerant? Colored eggs? Is there a comb type that you prefer (single comb, pea comb, rose comb, etc.)? Is there a coloration or feather pattern you enjoy? Are you looking for extra-docile, or is a little more independence okay? Do you free range and need a good protector, or are they in a run where that's less important?

If you're honestly just hoping for a good, solid roo that will produce healthy, hardy offspring, just about any will do (including barnyard mixes) and you can probably get someone's extra bird for free.
