What sayings did your parents tell you as a kid?

My Daddy:
Do as I SAY, not as I DO.
if I didn't sir/ma'am: Daddy-would it break you jaw to say sir/ma'am? Me- No sir. Daddy- well I will if you DON'T!
Don't be like your mother all you life son.
Mama:
you can't have it, its too close to Christmas. even in May
while we are in wal-mart, you stay with me. even if she was looking at underwear or bras.

There are more but for the sake of the kids, I'll hold off on them.

My Grandpa had a dog that would walk to the local shop and collect his daily paper and bring it home. When the weather was bad he would stand at the door and say... you wouldn't send a dog out in that, send your Grandma... all us kids thought that was hysterical but I am not sure Grandma was as amused!
