What sayings did your parents tell you as a kid?

LOL!
I remember while coming in the front door, dad would always
say, "shut that door. I'm not trying to air condition the whole
neighborhood."

"What? Were you raised in a barn?"

"I had to walk to school 4 miles up hill both ways in the snow
with holes in my shoes. Appreciate what you got."
 
Because I said so.
I brought you into this world and I'll sure as hell take you out.

Well, we didn't have phrases so to speak. It was in other languages.

Our mother was born and raised in Morocco, and her mother ( Grandma, was from Austria) If she spoke in german or french, she wasn't that mad. If she started yelling at us in arabic, we ran for the hills. She was hopping mad, and if she caught us, we were in BIG trouble. She also ran triathalon's so for awhile running from her was not an option.
