What Scale do you use to weigh your meat birds?

I have a catfish scale (Whisker Seeker) it's certified and weighs digital up to 110# , not sure how much $ you want to invest but since I already have it LOL

I want to invest $0 but not a lot being offered for that price lol. Even if its expensive, if you like it I want to know about it. never know when something comes up cheap on craigslist or Ebay.

Not a bad price if its very accurate, easy to use and lasts a long time. More than I want to spend but what isn't these days?

Yep prices continue to raise even when wages do not; whatcha gonna do LOL, I really like mine seems very well made , only had it maybe a couple years but works when I need it to, hope IF you get one it's as good as mine is.

I've considered a hanging scale with a bird in a bucket. 5 gallon bucket or a pillow case/burlap bag. Interested to hear the options.

this is how I do it...... once they go outside. when they are still in the brooder in the house I use my kitchen scales and place them in small bowl....

5 gallon bucket works ok till they are over 3 pounds then they can see over it too easy and try to get out..... time to move to s bigger bucket. Oh and weekly weigh ins help the birds get used to being handled.

Yeah, bucket isn't very good, tried that. Need a lid or a tote bag.

Hold your hands loosely over their heads till they calm down. More like blinders than restraining them..... maybe mine are calmer cuz we do it weekly?
