What sells the best?

I only have Leghorns so only white eggs. Here they're so much harder to sell then brown eggs. I live rural with farm communities in every direction so there's no shortage of eggs around but the closer to civilization you get where you could sell eggs the more you get into that old belief that farm fresh eggs only come in brown.
Oh and BTW the egg factories here are 2/3 to 3/4 brown egg producers. Red sex links are the most popular here.

I sell to help with feed costs. My dog gets some, we get plenty. The local food shelter won't accept them. So why not sell them to help with the cost of raising chickens?

I feel there can be a myriad of reasons one would sell eggs, personally I will be keeping more chickens than I will be eating eggs therefore I will be selling my extras. Pocket change adds up.

And what will you buy with that money? Food? At 4$ a dozen I'd have to sell 72 eggs to buy one bag of feed. Better off just eating the eggs

Yeah sadly the factories have driven egg prices down so far it doesn't make sense for people to buy "farm fresh" unless that's their charity.

If I could buy local eggs (in winter), I would. I pay more for "humane" eggs because I care about animal welfare, as much as factory farming allows me. Those eggs are now around $7 per dozen here.

I enjoy my colorful eggs: brown, white, blue, and green. Just seeing them maakes me smile. Depending on how many eggs you sell, and how you sell them, you could offer cartons of mixed or uniform colors, or let people choose their own mix.

I remember when these were only 4 bucks for a 60 pack, they've sky rocketed to a whopping 32 cents an egg.
