It's hard to see with out seeing the back of the head, as that is where the bulls eye is......

yeah..it's hard to tell right now...give them a few weeks..the patterning on the head becomes much MORE clear at about 4 weeks or so.

what is the difference in their heads? What am I missing? How can you tell one from the other? Please teach me! I would love to know if Edward is actually an Edwina?!?!?!??!!?!??!?!?

Morning, Cap'm. Pop across to Mr. Internetto's. Apparently, there are three patterns. One (the bullseye?) indicates a male. The second indicates a female. One article I saw said that the third pattern indicates an 'it,' which is culled by professional breeders.

I didn't begin interacting with my birds until they were past this stage, so it took me fully two years to be certain that they were all females.
