What Should Day 1 Egg Look Like?

I'm incubating quail eggs, but I'm still curious if there will be any difference between candling on day 0 vs. day 1? Because I saw that my egg yolk was darker on day 1 than on day 0.

I'd wait until day 5-7, the spots on the eggs make it difficult to see very good.

With some eggs, yes you can see the forming of the blood island on about day 3. But quail eggs are different, the pattern on the egg makes candling so difficult. So would wait until at least day 5, or day 7.
