Can humidity be to high?
How humid should it be and whats the best temp...
Allso one incubator gas the egg turner in it when my chicks go into lockdown do I take that out?

The humidity an be too high. In fact, it's worse for it to be too high than too low. The appropriate humidity in the first 17 days is around 35-45%. On day 18 (lockdown), you should bump the humidity up to 60-65%. You should take the egg turners out during lockdown. If you are using a still-air incubator, the temperature should be 101.5 at the top of the eggs, and if you are using a forced-air (with a fan) incubator, the temperature should be 99.5. Is this your first hatch? Are the eggs in the bator? How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What if you have a homemade incubator with a fan blowing the heat from the light bulbs onto the thermostat, what should the temp be??
