well all I have is the indoor brooder... But I'm going to buy the stuff before I go, so what would I need?

Oh, yes, sorry--I wasn't paying attention to who was posting what in that thread. Anyway... Do you have a coop? Do you have food, grit, and a heater and bedding for the brooder?

as I said in buying those things before, what I need to know is what to bring for try ride home with them.

If you are asking what do you need only for the ride home, that is simple. The supplier (hatchery, Farm Store, Etc.) should provide you a transport box with ventilation holes. Simply keep the chicks out of the draft, put them into a warm car, and drive (carefully) Secure the box if no one is there to assist you. Try to make the trip home as short as possible.

Thanks that's what I needed!! Do you think if I asked they would separate my box from my sisters?

My thoughts are, If there are two separate orders, they should. In either case, ask them to separate the orders, one for you and one for your sister;they should not have a problem doing this.

Breed identification can be tricky, at least for me, when the birds are chicks. As such, the staff are usually very knowledgeable and will undoubtedly help you as they are familiar with the breed characteristics.

Good luck with your new family of peeps.
