You need to remember that if it is fact a deformity, that you shouldn't use him for breeding as he could pass it on to future generations.

We have a rooster that is a pet and he had broken his leg last summer. It was just hanging, thought he might not make it but I looked after him made sure he had food and water that I brought to him so he wouldn't try and move. Well, he made it after a long time healing, he's walking on it almost normally again, just as fiesty as ever!!

I see others have mentioned a splint, I didn't know about that then but if I did I would have tried that to save him, but as it turned out he came thru without it. Good luck with the little fella!!
