What should I do to prepare for new babies??

Ok!!! My babies came early!!! I got 7 Buff Orpington chicks!!! They are just so cute!!! I have them in a 35 gallon rubbermaid tub with a 125 heat bulb on them. In the bottom I have newpaper topped with paper towels and a sprinkle of shavings...just what was in the box when I brought them home...

Any other pointers other than what is mentioned above???

Get a book like Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens or Chickens in Your Backyard or Living with Chickens-all fine informational sources you'll read and re-read. You need a reference book on hand for this, believe me. It will be there when people can't be here to answer your questions fast enough.

And I wouldn't doubt that some flip through the book before answering a question on here. I know I do that sometimes!
