I recently got 4 ducklings, and there are two that are almost certainly male, and 2 that are female. Is this combination too hard on the females, or can this work? If it isn’t a viable solution, how should I give away the drakes?

I had the exact same situation. I kept my 2 drakes for a year, and everything seemed to be going fine. I can assure you it won't stay that way though. Mating season comes and the 2 drakes will be aggressively fighting for the females.
You can always sell a drake. As long as he's young, someone may want him as a new bloodline to breed with their hens. good luck!

You want around four females per male, so most likely your ratio will not work , your hens will probably have significant mating damage. Your options are Sell, Butcher or separate the males from the flock.

Not sure about how duck math would work in this equation but... chicken math would suggest that you could add up to 6 more females to balance out the uneven ratio ;)
