I have kept my 24 chicks who are 4 weeks old out for about one week without a heat lamp. WE are getting a frost and the temp. of 27 degrees. Should i bring them in or see how it goes for them to stay outside? they are from tsc, black and red stars plus california whites they are just about fully feathered.

4 Weeks is quite a bit too young to be outside without a heat lamp. They need that heat lamp, unless they are under a broody. 27F is cold for little chicks, they should have a heat lamp above them at about 70-75 degrees F. It's good you asked that question

I'm in agreement with the troops. I just moved mine outside, but we're done freezing and I provided both a lamp and an ecoglow for warmth. They need more heat than they can generate by huddling together.
