I'm a new chicken mama and we have 4 girls, 4 weeks old today....I have them on the starter feed that we bought when we got them....should I be feeding them something else at this point? What's the next step in the feeding process?? TIA:)

Good morning and welcome to BYC!

There's an excellent article on feeding chickens in the Learning Center (link attached) but basically, if you have egg layers you'll want to keep them on the starter/grower feed until they begin laying eggs. At that point you'll want to switch to layer feed. You'll want to make sure all your birds have grit available to them so they can eat it when they want. And keep treats to a minimum (no more than 10% of their total diet).

Hope that helps. Good luck!
