I have an almost ten month old RIR whom I believe is starting to moult. I have noticed a few feathers in the run and today I see the top of her head has thinned quite a bit. I also see fluffy tufts of down all over her body. What extra should I add to her diet to help her along? My chickens get their pellets, handful of BOSS and some scratch on a daily basis. I also feed them loads of fresh greens everyday. Thanks!!

Extra protein is usually recommended, since it takes protein to grow feathers- meat, cheese, egg, yogurt, catfood, nuts etc are all suggested.

    Good luck,
