I have a small a-frame run and it is just a dirt floor. I have to clean it every day because the flies get pretty bad. I want to put something on the drift floor to control this? Any suggestions. Thanks

I also have a dirt floor in the run and I actually like it quite a bit. I've added a little bit of sand to loosen up the consistency of the floor and rake it once a day with a metal rake. The poo dries out quickly and breaks down with the raking. I haven't had any problems. I've heard things like straw can end up housing mites within their hallow structures so that is probably a no-no.
