what should I use as toys for my ducks?

This week is VERY cold at my house, so we had to bring my 9 ducks into the garage in a box for the next week. The problem is, I only have one big box to have them in the whole week, but they are bored and are peeling the box. Any idea what toys I could make to hang in their box so they are not bored?

How colf is it? Ducks are fine outside in some rather extreme colds

That's fine. Don't count the windchill with birds since they won't feel it as much.

I've had ducks outside below negative 10 with no problems

Put them back out, they can handle a lot lower than that. They look pretty cramped in that box.

Just make sure they have fresh dry bedding somewhere away from their water so they can sleep without getting frost bite on their feet.

Their house isn't much bigger. A few years ago we built the house for 4 or 5 ducks, but as you can see we have added to the flock since then. we do plan to built a bigger house in the spring for them, but right now they seem fine with the small house. Even when they are in their pen/run which is a good size, they take naps in little piles.
