What should I use to seal my nest boxes?

We bought some prefab nest boxes from "My Pet Chicken" and it says I should use a clear nontoxic wood preserver on it..... Any recommendations? Bonus points if I can find it at walmart or Lowes!

Lowes sells non toxic wood preservatives/sealers. Just ask at the paint desk.
