What should I watch for if anything?

One of my hens found this rubbery, soft, broken, empty egg shell. I have no idea which one laid or passed it. No one is acting noticably different. Except my jerk rooster but that is another issue. Only a few of them have started laying and they just started last week. All the other eggs have had really hard shells so far. We did have a raccoon attack last Friday. Could the stress have caused something like this? Do I need to be watching for anything?

It's normal to get soft shelled eggs every once in awhile. There is nothing to watch for or worry about, new layers do tend to lay a smaller and thicker shelled egg, the bigger the egg they begin to lay the more surface area the shell on the egg will be thinner.
