What should the comb look like on a 3 month old Leghorn pullet?

I'm looking at getting some Pearl White Leghorns from someone in town to show in the egg laying category for my last year in 4H. I'm more of a Silkie person so I don't know what I'm looking for. They were born March 20th, 2010. Should I be looking for larger, redder combs or smaller, lighter combs. And what should their tails look like?
