What should we be doing?

Happy to say she is doing very well. Eating and drinking on her own. Tonight she was following me around trying to get meal worms. She is still not quite right, but much improved.

Four weeks ago she was attacked by a dog. I am really not sure if she was injured or if she was just in shock and then the crop problems started. Crop is fine now. Her neck was quite crooked, but no open wound. Head was turned to the side. It has slowly been straightening out. Her walking is unsteady, not sure if that is from the dog or if its just because she has been sick for so long.

She is still by herself in the barn with a heat lamp. Her food and water has to be elevated for her to eat and drink comfortably but she is eating completely on her own. I am feeding her crumbles, water and vitamins. We take her outside 3 or 4 times a day for 5-10 minutes, she tries to forage but gets tired easily. I do give her some dried meal worms because I am mixing in a crushed baby aspirin with them. How long can I give her the aspirin? She is very alert now and more active everyday. She can now touch the ground with her beak with effort and her head is straight.

Thanks for the details. Aspirin dosage should 25 mg per pound each day. I hope your hen recovers to full health.

Meet Sassy. She is amazing. On Friday she decided she was moving next door to be near some chicks that were in the room beside her. I had both of their doors open and she just decided to move in. She is doing great. Still walking slowly but improving every day. Eating normally.

Looking for advice again. She looks good and she eats and drinks well. I feel like no progress has been made this week. She walks very slowly. She wants to be near the chicks she moved in beside but she does not want them with her. We try to get her outside for a while every day but she is not really interested. We tried letting one chick outside with her, she attacked it. Not sure what to do next.
