What should we do???

We have 1 little chick who runs up to the others and pulls out their feathers randomly and is really rough. We thought it was because they are forming a pecking order but we don't know because we are beginners. Did yours ever do this as chicks? What should we do? Why are they doing it?

They are from the same batch. When we went to Tractor Supply, we got them all together and haven't added any new ones.

They are 4 weeks old

It may be a roo. Or are all of them pullets it may be a bossy hen. you could try to make it it’s own little place if it continues. See if it stops and if it doesn’t I’d separate it. Mine have done this before they could just be establishing a pecking order.

What do they have to do besides eat and sleep?
We had one doing this, too. We ended up moving her in with a slightly older batch of chicks, but I also noticed that she caused fewer problems when I would add something new- like she was just starting fights because she was bored.
FWIW, everyone is together now and we haven't had any more problems with her.
