What side do you candle?? Pointy or rounded?

Thanks for all the replies...much appreciated, so far,I've been candling from the large end,I have to monitor the air cell,hatching Brahma's in 7 days..wish me luck.

Good luck! Mine are 7 days in and I also have lots of questions as its my first time trying to hatch too. Such as, my 3 Fun and Funky eggs are green/blue so no matter which way I turn the light I can't see through but today thought I saw a shadow that looked too long/oval to be just the yolk. The only one I could confirm with veins was my bantam braham egg, none of the others even look close. I guess we'll see in 14 days...

Best of luck with yours as well!!!...Darker eggs must be harder to candle,though I've heard that it's best to candle them at night in a dark room with a good candler.
