I love handmade quilts, it tells of the quilter's or quilt group stories and the love that goes behind making the quilts. Each stitch means something.

Gorgeous! Love the dark blue too.
Since the dark border has black, you could incorporate that as the binding if the backing is dark.

I think I'll see if WalMart still has that exact fabric. If not, I'll use a very dark blue on the back and possibly black binding.

Started quilting this one today. Using light blue thread. Here's one snowball block quilted and then a pic of the backing fabric, which is the blue version of the gold/brown that is in the snowball block and it's also in one of the stars. I purchased another yard of the dark blue watery-looking border for the binding.

Working on the quilting part of it, taking my time. This one will be put up for sale in BSA when completed. I really like the pattern and hope to do one in 12" blocks in the near future. Here it is on my queen bed to gauge the size. Could be a twin or a large lap quilt.
