I am worried. My coop is about 6 feet by 6 feet. The run is about
20 feet by 30feet. I have 10 chickens and 8 ducks (3 mscovy and 5 calls) I thought they had tons of room but someone has said its too small. I also have 4 acers of ground and can let them free range if I have to. but am worried about foxes. I thought they had tonns of room in the coop. They are only in there at night and have lots of space to sleep, actually the hens like to snuggle up together anyway. Can someone please advise me please as I want to make sure they are happy.

Hmmmmm,
Interesting situation. 36 square feet. Common belief says you should be housing about 9 chickens in there, or 4 square feet per bird.
BUT...............
(Now for the creative type thinking)
Is there a roost in your coop, and if so, do all the chickens sleep on it?
I don't know anything about ducks, but I don't think they roost. do they?
If both of my assumptions are true, then there should be enough room in the coop for the overnight. You could probably use some more space in the run,but I would say watch your flocks and observe how they get along. I mean from a distance, so they don't think they're getting treats.
Do any of your birds show signs of the others beating them up? Are they all healthy looking and not nervous?
If you can answer favorably for your birds to these questions, you should be ok......
This is just my opinion, though. Hold out for more from others that may have ducks and chickens.

36 feet for 18 animals is a little small. It depends on how long they spend in the coop. If it gets cold where you live, you need more space.
