What Size Egg do Australorps Lay???

I have read medium on some hatchery sites but I've been told they lay a large egg.

Anyone know for sure?

I haven't had any for awhile, but I remember them as laying a nice large egg.

Pretty large, especially Mortimer, who is fat and beautiful, too. Yes, SHE is Mortimer, named after the bird in Arabel's Raven, my daughter's beloved book.

My 3 have been laying large and extra-large eggs consistently with the occasional medium and jumbo.

I am so thankful my hens haven't read the magazines... they think they lay large eggs and that's what I always get.

My Red Sex-link lays the same size egg as my Australorps... large!​
