What snacks DON'T or chickens like???

My girl doesn't like bananas that are too ripe, but she does like them when they're perfectly yellow. And she doesn't like raw broccoli, but she likes cooked broccoli. Go figure.

Ours won't eat Asian Lady Beetles. We get swarms every October, but they aren't interested. (Wishful thinking.) But they LOVE mealworms, melon, pumpkin, yogurt, oatmeal, lettuce. I was really surprised by one who stole hot pepper bits out of the compost bin. Guess she likes it spicy?

mine love tomatoes, pumpkins, sprouts, watermelon, sunflower seeds and of course worms.I tried growing the worms. is a bit of a work at the beginning and didn't have the correct items

I've also noticed the don't like greens/veggies during the summer when they can get it themselves. In the winter though....Thats a different story.

my two white broilers dont like carots but they go crazy for apples and scratch. we recently got a bunc of pumpkins and the love them problem is it gives them runny poop. Also in addition to citrus fruits the whole parsley plant is poisonous

Hmmm, I hope it's not too deadly because my birds have eaten quite a bit of my large parsley plant. Does anyone have more info on this?

Citrus isn't good for chickens, so steer away from that.
Carrots, cucumbers and zucchini--- not yummy
Peaches, pears and apples--- to-die-for

No oranges? Huh. I had read that citrus fruit was great for aiding in keeping mites/louse and such away too - I fed mine all my dried out Christmas oranges. Ack!
We don't give it to them because they don't like it but why is it bad for them? I had only heard not to give potato skins, and onions and peppers, the latter two because they affect the taste of the eggs.
Mine ate the oranges I gave them. They don't like canned dog food, but love canned cat food. I heard not to give onions/peppers, but someone else I know gives potato skins and they eat 'em like tater chips ... but mine turned their noses at them. I hadn't heard those were not good to give.

My chickens, 2 americana hens, 2 game hens and a buff rooster, do not like cabbage or carrots. We avoid citrus and potato peels
I've heard many times not to give potato peels. My understanding is that it is a structural issue, not content, because it could potentially impact their crops. If this is so, would they be OK if I blend them in my VitaMix?

I put a number of rotting oranges in my compost heap. I had heard that citrus wasn't good for them but decided to do it anyway, and watch the birds. They scratch all around them, but don't eat them.
