What snacks DON'T or chickens like???

My four little ladies are not fond of apple sauce at all. I would put a little tray out for them and they wouldn't even touch it (Only the wild rabbits ate it!)
However, they do love mashed pears as wells as peas, corn, bread crumbs, ice chips, and the creme de la creme, hot oatmeal! Nothing sends them into a feeding frenzy quicker then some hot oatmeal on a cold winter's day!

You don't want your chickens to access the wild bird feeders, as the mites from the wild birds may be crawling on it and infest your chickens.

Potato peels are from the nightshade family, and can kill a chicken. If they are raw

It's green potato peels you have to be careful about because they have a toxin in them that can poison chickens.

Oh ok, I was thinking maybe if the were young they wouldn't like a lot, it is REALLY surprising they don't like worms! Whenever I'm in my garden my sweet little gold star Crumpet is always right there, snatching up worms I don't even see! She got like 30 once...Her egg was really orange the next day! LOL

Mine would not touch earth worms until we started putting together there final coop and we had to dig out the area for the floor. Before that they would not touch them, just look at me like what is that? Then it was like oh we are in the way, but we just discovered these tasty things in the dirt. They were 6 months old at that point. They always liked the meal worms so I am surprised about that one. It seams to me that until about 6 months mine were really picky but now they seam to be more acceptable to foods they would not even try. Mine really liked digging in oatmeal for meal worms, I had a large plastic container they would dig in and then I would cover it and they would eat the oatmeal that was kicked out, you might try it????
