What snacks DON'T or chickens like???

I have been testing mine with carrots lately, they love carrot juice but only one of them will touch raw carrots. I gave them whole baby carrots and then chopped them only one will eat them like that. The others take a nibble and then walk to me, with the look of "this is a joke, right?"

Anything juice with banana in it they will drink very very slowly but they gobble the actual bananas up.

(I only use pure fruit or vegetable mixes not sugar based mixes for these test)

What my girls pig out on today (the boys too) they may not touch tomorrow, and the more greens that are gone from the yard, they eat more of the green things I toss out. It is funny to watch the little cockerel eating a whole butter lettuce leaf from the steam end, he chocks it down whole! Everything compostable is tossed out, they (and the dogs) eat what they want, the rest composts and feeds the worms that feed the hens,,,, bananas, plantains, (chopped peel and all, they often eat the peel first), tomatoes, fruit, veggies, root crops (anything hard) shredded, bones that they can beat the dogs out of (my RIR hen will take bones from my dogs, and eat them if she can), ham and beans (OMG they went for the ham, would not let the dogs near it)(eggs got bigger for a few days), goose, chicken, meats, fish, whole grains, soy bean, oyster shell, toasted egg shell, and all the bugs they can catch free ranging!

Quote from my hens "Happiness is a fresh cow pie!"
