Here too, love pumpkin especially the raw seeds if there any left over...also love that last piece of pumpkin pie that got shoved to the back of the fridge, or any pie for that matter.
How unusual they would go after those particular herbs! Maybe each of them took a taste and passed it on to the next, you know how nosey they are. By the time the flock gets done tasting a bit, your poor plant is just about done. A draping of light netting over the herbs discourages them enough, at least here, yours may be more determined. When they develop a taste for something they will get at it one way or another.
That was a good post, had a good chuckle. Mine go crazy for certain things too, they get so excited. I have one, a Sussex Barnvelder cross but she is nearly all white with a few black touches. She is the only one who will constantly peck at my rings and at the beading on my favorite work pants, the bling must look good to her.
