What snacks DON'T or chickens like???

Mine won't eat scrambled eggs, oatmeal,apples, cucumbers or bread!! They are 9 weeks. But devour blueberries and grapes.

They will change, mine at 9 weeks were so pickey now they eat almost anything.

Mine do peck at carrots until they are gone eventually...takes several days.

I know mine are spoiled, but once a week maybe twice I give them a 1/4 cup carrot juice and applesauce. They love it. They are that same as yours with whole carrots... I think the squirrels finish them off.

My chickens absolutely love zucchini. I had loads and loads of it from my garden last summer, so I found that by cutting it in large round circles and tossing it to them, they will eat it up. I'm actually planning on growing more this summer to use as a feed additive.

This is all way too funny! I mean, what one flock likes, another does not. Spoiled rotten they are! Mine love melon rinds and all the seeds that come with the melon, they will wipe it clean down to the outer rind. No tomatoes, unless it's on pasta. And they do love pasta, will sometimes buy a big bag of spaghetti and cook a bunch up and us it for treats, just plain. I don't know if they think it's worms or what, but they adore pasta. Know it just makes them fat, but it's a treat and not a food. They will pick at apples that have fallen from the trees, but are not crazy about them. Like the ducks, they adore peas, leftover corn cobs, lasagna, any casserole leftover with pasta (not potatoes!). And anything liquid dairy, milk that is on its way out, yogurt, etc. Have a neighbor who raises goats, and we barter, he will give me gallons of milk in exchange for any excess chickens in the fall. They adore goats' milk, and I usually only give that to the pullets, makes their bones good and strong, and when they start laying, replenishes all that calcium. People have told me those first few months of eggs have the hardest shells they've ever tried to crack. Soooo, every chicken has its personal tastes, just like us!

What I can not eat myself goes to them... that is sadly not much but they like the crumbs.
