What sound do hens make?

Three of my turkey poult have gobbled at me. The other two weren't yet. Today the other two made a sound like a cross between a burp and a peep. Are they hens? I hope so, cuase i would like to keep a tom and a hen for breeding.

He walks around with a turkey call in his mouth - using a hen call...I can't describe it to you -
