I have a sketch Walter Lantz did for me when I was probably 6 or 7. He was at Universal California doing press for something. I don't remember what it was, but my folks were pretty excited for it.

I once met and got an autograph from Lassie at the World's of Fun in KC. I was proud of that for a while.

Merlin says it is an Eastern Screech Owl, adult gray morph (McCall's).

Google Lens is clueless.

I'm pretty positive this is an eastern screech owl. Plumage on westerns is different.
