Hey, I'm more in I/T - Tech Support - Repair than history. Better at fixing problems, programming, etc than memorizing stuff before my time. You didn't say searching was off-limits....

I have a similar problem. My expertise lays in fixing hardware, preferably with a fist or two but usually with a screwdriver and some brains. I do also read up on hardware and its manufacturer if I am bored.
