10°C or 50°F is the lowest temp that button quail can withstand in an outside aviary. They might be able to handle 8°C ....I've never been that brave to try it!I just got them, they are in the house right now, but I want to move them to my aviary which is in a side building. Right now I am keeping about 8°C for my parrots. Is this enough for them?
Mine just survived the first freeze here down to 28*F and many nights so far in high 30’s-low 40’s10°C or 50°F is the lowest temp that button quail can withstand. They might be able to handle 8°C ....I've never been that brave to try it!
I guess they (the buttons) haven't read the literature on what temperature they can withstand!Mine just survived the first freeze here down to 28*F and many nights so far in high 30’s-low 40’s
my plan is to get them moved into the new room in the subaviary that is heated if temperatures fall below 60.....of course i’m not absolutely sure they want to go back in! I wasn’t able to get everyone settled before this cold front came through.I guess they (the buttons) haven't read the literature on what temperature they can withstand!glad it's working out for you....I'm not that brave....yet!
