Okay okay I know her breed, (Easter Egger), I know she is female but she does not look right. Please tell me what happened to her for her to look like this? Is it malnutrition, Genetics?
She lays me large pretty green eggs and is the sweetest little thing I own- I just really wanna know why she looks the way she does. Is she even a chicken? I’ve spent so long on here trying to figure out her situation. (She is 1 year old as of April 2021). Also is it ethical to breed her? Will her offspring look like her?

Here’s one of her eggs :) (I got her April of 2020 and she did not lay until March of 2021)

She has very short legs. That is the only thing that I notice right away. It's an unusual trait for an Easter egger. If she is otherwise happy and healthy, then I would leave well enough alone.

As for raising chicks from her, you will have to decide for yourself. It's difficult to say why she has such short legs, and it is possible her chicks will, too. But maybe not-- it's just impossible to say.

She's a pretty girl--what about her looks concern you?
Her feathers don’t sit right on her, they look shaggy and not against her body and her legs are really short,(keep in mind that she is a supposed to be a standard EE and was the same size as the white EE in the pic when they were chicks) I love her to death but I just wanna know what happened to her? Was she born like this?

I think the short leg thing is cute, honestly. ✨ ❤️

Oh I hadn’t noticed how short her legs were.

And I think if she seems fine, I wouldn’t worry too much.

She’s an Easter egger. EEs tend to have a lot of genetic variety, which is why she looks so different from your other EE. She doesn’t look particularly unhealthy to me, but if you don’t want to potentially pass on her short legs or loose feathering, then you may want to avoid breeding her.
