What the back did I buy?

Long post warning: my neighbors duck free into or yard Friday night. (His new puppy is learning to be a farm dog He told us to keep 'her and identified her as a Muscovy. She hung out with our chickens but was starting to be picked on so we decided to build a pen. Knowing that ducks like company, I found a drake Muscovy locally. The owners 'made me a deal I could not refuse' and I brought home ? Geese? They got the whole assorted flock from an old man who couldn't keep them anymore. After bringing them home, I started to Google what breed and/or sex they could be. I can't find anything useful. It's it possible that I have a muscovy cross? Is there a Muscovy drake in this pic? A

re these even Geese? This is the silliest post I've ever written! Any help on identifying them, as well as potential signs for sexing them?

yes there is a drake and looks like they are muscovy ducks. but the one in the back looks like she could be a muscovy magpie cross.

One Muscovy drake (wide leg set), he's still young, and what looks like two Muscovy mixes (mules) to me.

Adorable! The white one with the red flesh around beak (called caruncles) is a pure muscovy and is an adult. The other white one could be pure muscovy, but likely muscovy crossed with domestic duck. The one with black top is a muscovy and domestic duck cross. They both look young.

The best thing (to me) about muscovy/duck crosses, which are called mules or hinnies depending on if parent muscovy was male or female, is they are sterile/infertile, meaning you will get eggs, but no babies.

I thought you got eggs and ducklings but the ducklings could not breed???

I see one Muscovy and I’m no duck expert so I can’t say anything about the rest but I’m guessing the one with a bit of red on the face is Muscovy mix maybe? They’re all super pretty by the way!

This is so great, thanks for all the info. Are there telling sex characteristics or are we just waiting for eggs? The little Princess Muscovy keeps flying the coop, so our plan to get her a partner/flock to hang with didn't work so far.

the male muscovy's hiss and the females don't really say anything. sometimes the females make noises like guinea's (well I think they sound like that). also males will be considerably bigger than the females, but by then the females might be laying.
