the white one in the foreground looks like a Pekin to me.
the one on the left foreground is a
muscovy drake.
by the time they are a year old there is no problem telling the drakes from the hens. the drakes will be twice as big as the hens.
the hens will have a more rounded head compared to the more flat top of the drake..
the muscove is the only duck that is not derived from the mallard. it is a species in it's own right.
the meat is darker..and they are delicious..
we butchered 70 of them one year. my wife says she never wants to see another one.. LOL
