What the heck happened to BYC?

Well what a storm "Todd" seems to have started, plus I also noticed that for me anyway (being a relative newbie "Overrun with chickens") that other older members I have not heard of (since joining) seem to come out of the woodwork, and post comments........ however may I being English say in the "new" BYC site's defence and hopefully on behalf on the "new" BYC

If you dont move with the times - you are a dinosaur (and you know what happened to them!) Not everything should remain the same...change is sometimes for the better as is BYC (in my opinion, but then I am also entitled to it)

This is above all other "chicken" sites THE BEST - why because I have visited them all....and I keep coming back - everyday.....because the members are all fantastic - kind, caring, informative.....what I find a nuisance is that they are all the the USA and I am here in England...BUT I love them all, and I can't just jump on plane and visit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hold your friends close to you heart...you never know when you might need them...they always have on BYC ("new")come forward fo me...they are to be applaued...and the "Mods" are fab......enough from me..getting off my soapbox....but you have got me "going" as we say in the UK.....move on and upward my friend....... and dont be such a "twisty knickers".... have a good week-end. Was LOL at EnglishChick's post, too! I know some things are different "across the pond", but I like to think we're all more alike than different. (on the other hand, from some of the posts I've read on here, I AM glad that some of us are different! Whew!)

Well, folks will have a right to their own opinions about things, but if you don't know what happened, your comments don't make much sense.

As for the "original" board, it is irrelevant with this discussion since it has nothing to do with how the "new" board came about. The Ezboard is the board all of the old timers know and grew to love until they were told it was going away and convinced to come here because it may "vanish" into nowhere (yukuland). Well, that never happened, so folks are still there. I don't see the big deal. We were told the 2 boards would always be 1 board in 2 locations (for as long as they exist) and the family environment and link between them would remain. I enjoy both and don't see the problem if people choose one or both boards to enjoy.

Unless you use to belong to our old forum BYC, that is still in existence you all will never understand the hows, whys and whats of this website...Sorry, just too many details have always been left out!!

So when an oldie trys to find the old forum jumping from ezboard to a yuku site and wakes up here it certainly is an eye opener!!

LOL. Welcome back. I don't remember you either but I was probably a fresh mindless teen when hanging out on the old byc! That said, don't make me vote for changing to a new forum software with even more addons and fun things to do than punbb! vBulletin's really nice.
