Seriously, what a dissapointment! I was all about finding out I could get a chicken that laid cherry colored eggs..

I had Cherry Eggers from a hatchery called Marty Hatchery in MO. That was about *ahem* years ago when I was a teenager. They are a cross of RIR and something. They were pretty and really good layers.

I will let you know that Welp Hatchery is way WAY of there rocker if the believe that a Rhode Island Red and a Cherry Egger are the same thing.

cherry eggers do have slightly different coloring, they tend to have a bit of white in their tail while rir's have darker almost black tail feathers
