I've given up on ever ever having a broody hen. Hoping for a bator for my birthday later this month.
Been living the Brinsea bator website up on my DH's puter non-stop. Don't know if he's got the hint yet or not.
You didn't ask for one for a wedding present? For shame. Try cutting out pictures of the ones you want and put them in with his lunch. Sneak them into drawers, medicine cabinet, tape it to the razor, the beer, what ever it takes!
I have the Brinsea Eco 20 and it is well worth it....
I have read that the only sure fire way to make a hen go broody is to buy an incubator. You watch, after all these weeks of pining away for a brinsea, you'll finally break down and buy one and BAM, you'll have more broodies than you know what to do with!!
